Privacy policy

Last updated July 8, 2026

Ronny is a private notes app. The short version: your notes are yours, nothing is sold or shared, there are no ads and no analytics, and you can erase everything yourself in Settings.

What we store

Without an account: nothing. Notes are saved in your browser on your device and never reach our servers (except when you talk to Ronny — see below).

With an account: your email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash by our database provider, Supabase), your notes, and your preferences — the name you asked Ronny to use, his tone, your evidence-mode setting, and any insights he found when you asked him to look. All of it lives in private database rows that only your sign-in can read. There is no admin view, no feed, and no sharing.

When you talk to Ronny

Your chat messages and your notes are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the reply, then discarded. They are not stored by Ronny and not used to train anything. If you never chat with Ronny, no note content is sent anywhere except your own account storage.

What we never do

No analytics or tracking of any kind. No advertising. No selling or sharing of data. No social features. The only services that ever touch your data are Supabase (storage & sign-in) and Anthropic (Ronny’s replies), each only for the purpose described above.

Deleting your data

Settings → “Delete everything” erases all notes. Settings → “Delete my account” permanently erases your account and every note in it from our servers, immediately, with no copy kept. You can also export your notes any time — they are yours.

The practical stuff

Everything travels over HTTPS. Ronny is not directed at children under 13. If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Questions or requests: hello@heyronny.app.
